Scottish Tourist Boards
In Schottland gibt es über 170 Tourist Information Centres (kurz "TIC"), die in der Regel von Montag bis Freitag zwischen 9:00 Uhr und 17:00 Uhr geöffnet haben. In den Sommermonaten gelten auch erweiterte Öffnungszeiten (wie beispielsweise auch an Samstagen geöffnet oder längere Öffnungszeiten bis spät abends); einige TICs sind nur von Ostern bis Oktober offen (besonders in kleineren Städten oder weiter abgelegeneren Regionen).
Nachfolgend ein Aufstellung der wichtigsten Adressen schottischer Tourist Informationszentren (kurz "TIC"). Dort können Sie neben dem Erhalt lokaler Informationen auch Übernachtungen buchen. Hier erhalten Sie alles, was das Herz begehrt. Angefangen von allgemeinem Informationsmaterial über Informationen zur Umgebung, über Bücher und Landkarten bis hin zu Unterkunftsbuchungen bzw. Adressen.
Auch sonst bekommen Sie hier alle notwendigen Informationen, die Sie für einen Schottlandaufenthalt benötigen.
